You guys remember last month, when we gave you all some early details on Marcus Dunstan’s sequel to THE COLLECTOR? Of course you do. We learned that the sequel will be called THE COLLECTION and that it’ll start up immediately after the first film ended. Well folks it’s about a month later and here we are with more details for THE COLLECTION!
Alright… So the only new details we really have are a detailed synopsis and the first casting news. Courtesy of The Film Catalogue we’ve found out that Josh Stewart will be returning to reprise his role as ‘Arkin,’ our hero from the first film. As far as that detailed synopsis goes… Check it:
Arkin (Josh Stewart) escapes with his life from the vicious grips of “The Collector” during an entrapment party where he adds beautiful Elena to his “Collection.” Instead of recovering from the trauma, Arkin is suddenly abducted from the hospital by mercenaries hired by Elena’s wealthy father. Arkin is blackmailed to team up with the mercenaries and track down The Collector’s booby trapped hide out and save Elena from his sadistic rituals. “The Collection” is a perfect cocktail of primal horror and action suspense thriller in real 3D.
So what do you guys think? I actually dug THE COLLECTOR a lot for what it was, a hint of something original and fresh. So with that in mind I’m actually looking forward to THE COLLECTION. Hell I’m actually hoping we dive a little bit more into ‘The Collector’ and find out what’s up with this twisted bastard… Although you’ve got to leave some of the man’s mystique to the imagination..
THE COLLECTION comes from director Marcus Dunstan, who penned the script with long-time writing partner Patrick Melton. This little diddy is set to kick off next month so be sure to keep it here for more as we hear it!
