It was just yesterday that Moises told you all about the list of names joining Steven Quale’s FINAL DESTINATION 5, and it was a pretty impressive list at that. Actually it wasn’t that impressive… But it did include funnyman David Koechner and hottie Meghan Ory!
Well folks today we’ve got news on another name joining FINAL DESTINATION 5 and I think it’s safe to assume this bad mamajama puts that entire list of names to shame! That’s right folks. Genre icon, and FINAL DESTINATION veteran Tony Todd will be reprising his role as what many conceive to be ‘Death’ in the fifth film of the franchise! Todd had previously starred in the first two FINAL DESTINATION films as well as doing some voice work for the third film. This news is coming out of Film4 Fright Fest, where Todd recently spilled the details during a HATCHET 2 Q and A. Todd joins Koechner, Ory (below), Nicholas D’Agosto, Ellen Wroe, Arlen Escarpeta and Miles Fisher in the film.
Alright folks so this new FINAL DESTINATION film dropped the cheesy title treatment, has James Cameron’s right hand man directing and is bringing Tony Todd back into the fold. Dare I say this one might actually be worth checking out… But of course it’s still too soon to tell. This big guy is set to start shooting next month in Vancouver with a release date already pegged for August 26, 2011. As always as soon as we hear more on FINAL DESTINATION 5 we’ll be sure to pass the good word along to all of you!
