Way back in February we heard that Kate Beckinsale was planning on returning to the world of lycans and vampires in UNDERWORLD 3D, though she wasn’t really happy about it. Well it’s been several months but we’ve finally got another update on the project and, more importantly, where Mrs. Beckinsale stands!
You see the guys over at IGN had a chance to corner UNDERWORLD producer/director/Kate Beckinsale’s hubby Len Wiseman at Comic-Con and they couldn’t help but ask the filmmaker what the status of UNDERWORLD 3D was:
“It’s all being written and talked about and hopefully all comes together. So we’re seeing how things happen. But we’re all keeping our fingers crossed.”
And as far as the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale returning:
“Yes. That’s the plan. We’re both waiting to see what kind of story comes together. It’s just getting the script to a certain place where we’re both happy with it.”
I don’t know about you guys, but it looks to me like Mr. Wiseman leaves a little wiggle room with that statement. But let’s hope for the best!
