Alright, so we know how Bill Murray feels about GHOSTBUSTERS 3. (HERE and HERE) But what about the rest of the ghostbusting crew? Well I don’t know how the whole crew feels about the project but we do know how Harold Ramis feels!

Thanks to the guys over at Filmshaft we’ve learned that Bill Murray isn’t the only one going around talking about GHOSTBUSTERS. Comedy legend Harold Ramis recently chatted it up with ABC 7 and informed the world that all systems are still go on the long-awaited sequel:

“Well, there’s been a lot of talk about a third Ghostbusters film, which has now become real. It’s… I can say with some certainty that there will be a third movie. It won’t be out until Christmas 2012, but the work is going on now.”

I really don’t even know what to think about this anymore. I’m sure in a few days we’ll get a statement from Ivan Reitman saying the film is at a standstill or something, so should we even bother getting excited… again? Being a huge fan of the GHOSTBUSTERS universe I was stoked to hear a third flick would be heading our way, regardless of the key cast members being much older. Hell I’d dig anything GHOSTBUSTERS thrown our way right now! But even my hopes are dwindling thanks to all this he-said-she-said nonsense.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to run with the classic stand-by “I’ll believe it when I see it.” We’ll be keeping you in the loop every step of the way as we await more news on whether GHOSTBUSTERS 3 is happening or not, so be sure to keep it here for updates!
