“7/10 -The Collector is a great example of how to build and maintain suspense. the plot and characters are thin, but the cinematography, editing and music are excellent. There are a few minor plot details that didn’t make total sense, and i felt like the characters didn’t always behave realistically, but the movie didn’t bore me for even a second, so that’s a pretty huge achievement.”

“Tralier’s not bad, but it does look like it’s cleaving too close to the original for my liking (and some of the images it is directly quoting, especially Freddy emerging from the wall, look fucking awful in this new version). One thing gives me some hope… the BBFC just passed the film with an 18, which means it’s going to be very tough and violent, because they are much more lenient now with the 15 certificate.”
