The last update we gave you all on Neil Burger’s THE DARK FIELDS came back at the beginning of the month, when we learned that Andrew Howard was joining the cast which already included Anna Friel, Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, Abbie Cornish (below), and Tomas Arana. Alright so we knew all that.

What we didn’t know is that T.V. Carpio would also be along for the ride! Carpio (right), who was last seen in ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, will play a character called ‘Valerie’ according to IMDB. It’s also worth noting that Steven Weisz will also be in the film in an uncredited role. THE DARK FIELDS, which should be kicking off principal photography soon if they haven’t done so yet, already has a release date set of March 18, 2011.

[The film] follows a down-and-out writer (Cooper) who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical drug that makes one smarter. He experiences sudden financial and social success but soon discovers that the drug has lethal and lasting side effects. Before long, mysterious antagonists are pursuing him.

So there you have it. THE DARK FIELDS gains yet another name to it’s already impressive cast! We’ll keep a lookout for any other DARK FIELDS updates so be sure to keep it here for more as we hear it!
