Alright ladies and gentlemen, it seems all the ‘he-said-she-said’ drama that has been SCREAM 4 has finally come together. Not only do we have a confirmed start date, but we’ve also got the confirmed release date and director! And you’re never going to believe who it is!
Or maybe you will. It’s Wes Craven. Bet you didn’t see that sh*t coming did you? Booyah! Alright seriously, over at Variety they’ve confirmed that Craven is aboard the project as director. We knew that was going to happen. Variety also confirm the previous reports that SCREAM 4 would be filming this Spring. Now here’s something we didn’t know: SCREAM 4 will be hitting theaters April 12, 2011! That’s over a year away folks, and over a decade since the last film in the franchise.
As we know, Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette are all returning to the franchise while a new group of young stars take the spotlight this time. But let’s be serious here… Is anyone really going to be paying attention to the ‘new people’ or will people be going to see this flick to see ‘Syd, Dewey and Gail?’ Yeah that’s what I thought. So we could care less about the rest of the cast, right?
