Not unlike Takeshi Shimizu and THE GRUDGE films, The Pang Brothers have created, and stuck with, a lucrative horror franchise in their native country, in this case China. The two made a little spookshow called THE EYE in 2002, followed it up with THE EYE 2 in 2004, then went on to make part 3 a year later. And they’re not about to stop now; this summer brings us THE CHILD’S EYE. In 3D of course. (The less said about their Hollywood effort THE MESSENGERS the better.)

Stranded in Thailand by the political uprising and airport closure, Rainie and her friends were unable to return home. Reluctantly, they decide to stay in an aged and shabby hotel. Among them is Rainie’s boyfriend, Lok, Ling and her brother Rex and Ciwi with her beloved boyfriend, Hei. The moment they check into the hotel they come across three weird children and a puppy that seems slightly odd. As strange and sinister things start to happen, they begin disappearing one after another………

A slightly odd puppy?! Run for the f*cking hills! CHILD’S EYE stars Rainie Young, Elanne Kwong, Izz Tsu, and Rex Ho and is sceduled to open in JUNE overseas.
