Considering the industry I work in there’s countless rumors flying around at any given time. Now there’s ‘rumors’ and then there’s ‘RUMORS?!’ The piece of information I’m bringing you today falls into that second category… three times!
Stay with me on this one. A ‘source’ at Universal Studios told Cinema Blend that considering AVATAR’s huge success the studio is looking to reboot one of it’s classic films in 3-D. I’m not going to sugar-coat this for you: It’s JAWS. Yes, the near perfect classic from director Steven Spielberg. Alright a JAWS reboot would be WTF #1. Seeing that great white shark in three dimensions would be WTF #2. Ready for the hat trick? According to Cinema Blend none other than Tracy Morgan may be in line to star as ‘Matt Hooper,’ which was played brilliantly by Mr. Richard Dreyfuss in the original. What the f*ck indeed…
Now mind you ladies and gentlemen this thing is a RUMOR if I’ve ever seen one. So my advice to you would be to write this off before you even finish this article. Something as absurd as this doesn’t even deserve our attention until it’s remotely possible… Though I have to admit, I wouldn’t mind seeing a JAWS flick in 3-D.
