I’m a huge fan of John Carpetner’s. If only for HALLOWEEN the man is a God in this genre and one of my favorite directors. So when I heard he’d be stepping behind the cameras to direct a film for the first time since 2001 you can bet your ass I got excited! That’s nearly a decade that Carpenter’s been away from the game. But worry not folks, his new film THE WARD is looking like it just might be a return to form for the director.

Not too long ago Jake hit you all with a behind the scenes clip from THE WARD. And while that was cool and all, it pales in comparison to today’s video: An interview with the man himself! French blog didierallouch was lucky enough to sit down with the legend and talk about his absence from the industry, his new film and everything in between! Don’t waste any more time and head right over HERE to check the lengthly interview out!

THE WARD is yet to score a release date but will probably hit theaters towards the end of the year. It stars Amber Heard (below), Danielle Panabaker, Lyndsy Fonseca, Mamie Gummer, Mika Boorem, Jared Harris and Laura-Leigh. God I love Amber Heard…. I’ll leave you all today with the synopsis for THE WARD: A thriller centered on an institutionalized young woman who becomes terrorized by a ghost.
