What’s happened to all the slasher flicks? With this new craze of remakes and 3-D it seems the semi-original slasher flicks of our genre have fallen through the cracks. Shame considering the slasher genre is my favorite part of the horror genre, as I’m sure it is for most of you as all. So I’m going to go ahead and assume you’re equally disappointed that we haven’t seen many solid slashers heading our way…
Fortunately we’ve got a film on the way called THE CARETAKER that might just be pretty solid. Well actually THE CARETAKER isn’t just coming out… It’s been around for two years! Pretty simple huh? Seems like we’re in for another cheesy slasher fest. A group of teenage boys out to give their girlfriends a good scare on Homecoming night, which also happens to be Halloween, head to an abandoned house in an out-of-the-way fruit orchard where they uncover the story of a real life urban legend. THE CARETAKER comes from director Bryce Olson and stars Victoria Vande Vegte, Jennifer Tilly (below), Judd Nelson, Jennifer Freeman, Kira Verrastro and James Immekus.
