Way back in June we told you about the possibility of a sequel to Jennifer Lynch’s HISSS, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves… HISSS hasn’t even been released yet!

Today we’ve finally got an update on the unique feature, which is based on the Far Eastern myth of the snake woman who is able to take on human form. Today’s update comes in the form of a handful of stills courtesy of Monster Island News. Just scope out a few of the shots above and below then click through for more.

Is it wrong that this snake lady is smoking hot? It’s understandable considering she’s played by the gorgeous Mallika Sherawat (below), right? Right. The project is currently fiming in India, which is where Lynch stated: “I definitely want people to see this film and say it is the greatest horror movie made in the history of cinema, better than Hitchcock, better than ‘The Exorcist’.” Wait… what?!

Lynch is already comparing HISSS to Hitchcock flicks and THE EXORCIST? Wow… I don’t care how good a film is looking… those type of comments are pretty chancy. Then again who knows… Maybe Lynch is actually bringing us something amazing. Be sure to head on over to Monster Island News to read about Sherawat having to lick snakes and keep it here for more on HISSS as we hear it!
