John Carpenter’s upcoming return to horror with THE WARD filmed in Spokane, WA, last summer and is currently in post-production. Lucky for us, a documentary crew was on set filming and… well, documenting the whole thing, producing what is now known as THE WARD:BEFORE THE CAMERAS ROLL.
The short documentary promises to deliver the kind of behind the scenes footage and stories you would come to expect for a film like this, with more quality segments coming. But as it is now, BEFORE THE CAMERAS ROLL follows Carpenter and crew as they prep THE WARD’s most prominent location: a mental hospital.

Since it’s been awhile, here’s a little refresher on the new film, starring hotties Amber Heard (below), Danielle Panabaker, and Lyndsy Fonseca: A thriller centered on an institutionalized young woman who becomes terrorized by a ghost.
Great cast, great director, interesting premise… this is all adding up to some fun times at the movies. Let’s just hope it’s Carpenter’s return to greatness and not another repeat of VAMPIRES, or worse yet, GHOSTS OF MARS.
