It’s been quite a while since I hit you all with an update on some horror collectibles so I figured I’d change that considering today happens to be a pretty slow news day. Today’s update isn’t really any huge news but it’s still intriguing none-the-less. We’ve got a Living Dead Doll depicting one of cinema’s classic characters, a Living Dead Doll fairytale and figures to coincide, and lastly we’ve got some figures from one of next year’s most anticipated films!
First up if you look directly to the right you’ll see everyone’s favorite bio-exorcist ‘Beetlejuice!’ That’s right folks, Mezco’s Living Dead Doll line has just gotten even more disturbing! Here’s the figure’s description: Mezco Toyz summons the afterlife’s leading freelance bio-exorcist, Beetlejuice. The latest doll perfectly captures this rogue ghost’s character’ with his crazed eyes, wild hair and “mossy” skin. It’s easy to see why he’s the devious, mischievous bad boy of the underworld!
Beetlejuice stands 10” tall and comes with a film-accurate removeable cloth costume, because we’re all dying to know what’s underneath those stripes, right? This bad boy hits shelves in June 2010 but you can go ahead and pre-order that shite right over HERE for a hefty price tag of $32.
Next up we’ve got more figures designed after a Tim Burton film. I’m talking about Burton’s upcoming adaptation of ALICE IN WONDERLAND of course! Fresh off the release of the film’s latest trailer comes a brand new set of figures from Medicom. As you can see above the set includes ‘Alice’ and ‘The Mad Hatter.’ These are part of Medicom’s ‘Ultra Design’ line and as you can see, depict WONDERLAND stars Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp respectively.
This duo is due out in June 2010 and each figure stands at 7” tall. But why wait? You can pre-order these guys right over HERE for $35.
And lastly we’ve got something pretty interesting coming from Mezco’s Living Dead Doll line. It’s actually pretty interesting because it’s almost like today’s update is all about Tim Burton because this new product I’m about to tell you all about deals with the infamous Wonderland! But instead of Alice traveling down the rabbit hole we’ve got the Living Dead Dolls having the adventure!
You see Mezco have just announced that they’ll be releasing the first ever Living Dead Dolls book! LIVING DEAD DOLLS IN WONDERLAND will be a very limited edition book, with plans to only make 1,500 copies. Here’s the product’s description: Travel with the Living Dead Dolls, down the rabbit hole into Wonderland, with first ever The Living Dead Dolls book! This limited edition book re-imagines Alice’s adventures in Wonderland with vivid full color digital illustrations and features some of your favorite Living Dead Dolls. The book hits shelves in February 2010 with a line of LIVING DEAD DOLLS IN WONDERLAND figures also being released at the same time to coincide with the book.
