Fresh off the confirmation that Natalie Portman will be headlining PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES comes the news that David O. Russell will be directing! This news comes from Pajiba, who say they scored the info from a very reliable source. Hell it seems feasible to me so let’s go with it! Actually this doesn’t seem feasible at all… Russell, who just finished THE FIGHTER, doesn’t really have a history of genre friendly films. His biggest credits include FLIRTING WITH DISASTER, THREE KINGS and I HEART HUCKABEES. You see what I mean? Now I can picture Russell directing a period piece… but a period piece with zombies? Needless to say this is very intriguing.
Pajiba report that the deal to bring Russell on is just about finished, which would also have Russell penning the script. This is quite the interesting turn for the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel. What do you guys think? Can you see Russell giving us a decent zombie flick?
