Michael J. Bassett’s SOLOMON KANE has been keeping a very low profile. It feels like the flick could easily be a mainstream movie yet it’s just not there yet… Why not?
My vote is the thing just doesn’t ‘pop.’ You know what I mean? There’s no ‘ump.’ In all seriousness it just doesn’t seem like there’s that much of a difference between KANE and VAN HELSING, at least that’s my gripe with SOLOMON KANE. Now maybe I’m wrong here and maybe SOLOMON KANE is actually something amazing… Can anyone vouch for that?
Well it doesn’t matter if you’re a fan of the flick or not, today you get to see it’s newest one sheet! Sure it’s an international poster but it’s still working taking a look. And you guessed it, that’s the new poster above. Looks like we’ve got yet another character poster on our hands starring what looks to be star James Purefoy as the titular character. Digging it?
SOLOMON KANE is currently working the festival circuit throughout the world. It’s next stop is France on December 23rd followed by Russia on the 31st. Next month this shite hits Netherlands and the UK but no word on a wide US release yet. The flick is about a mercenary who owes his soul to the devil and redeems himself by fighting evil. It stars Purefoy, Pete Postlethwaite, Max von Sydow, Mackenzie Crook, Alice Krige, and Rachel Hurd-Wood (below).
