M. Night Shyamalan is hard at work on that AIRBENDER movie but that’s not stopping the man from getting movies made based on his ideas!
Variety dropped word today that Universal Pictures have just scored the lead actor for DEVIL, a flick coming from directors John Erick and Drew Dowdle based on a story from M. Night Shyamalan. Brian Nelson penned the script. No surprise here… Shyamalan will be producing with Sam Mercer.
That lead actor I mentioned is Chris Messina. He’ll be playing “Bowden,” a sobered-up homicide detective in the horror/thriller. And that’s all we’ve got. Apparently Shyamalan and company want to keep the plot for DEVIL under wraps because we’re not told anything aside from Messina’s character. Production on DEVIL is set to start October 26th in Toronto so be sure to keep it here for updates!
