The trailer for Michael and Peter Spierig’s DAYBREAKERS was generally accepted among the genre community. To be honest it didn’t impress me but it seems I’m in the minority, which is fine. I hope the thing ends up being awesome and blowing me away. I’d happily welcome that.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re digging DAYBREAKERS or you’re still skeptical like me, today you get a look at the brand new poster for the flick! The new one sheet comes from over at MTV and low and behold.. doesn’t impress me at all. Definately doesn’t compare to the flick’s first poster. What do you guys think? Agree? This new poster actually has too much of a SURROGATES/sci-fi feel in my opinion. Just click through on the poster to check out a larger shot over at MTV.
DAYBREAKERS takes place in the year 2019, where a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind. It stars Isabel Lucas (below), Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill, Claudia Karvan and Jay Laga’aia and hits theaters everywhere January 8, 2010.
