Jekyll/Hyde Poster

One very interesting film heading our way is Abel Ferrara’s JEKYLL & HYDE. Aside from being another adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s THE STRANGE CASE OF DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, Ferrara’s film sports a very interesting duo tackling the mad scientist/twisted monster: Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson. Now that’s an interesting pair…

But tell me that’s not pretty intriguing? I’m interested just on those two! A JEKYLL/HYDE flick with Jackson as JEKYLL and Whitaker as HYDE? Or perhaps the other way around? Color me excited! Alright… so I’m not that excited but I’m definitely down for keeping track of this one! Which brings me to today’s update. The guys over at Bloody-Disgusting got a look at a low-res shot of a teaser poster for the flick, seen above, and a synopsis, found right here:

“Dr Jekyll is a rich doctor of great generosity who lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Mr Hyde is a sadistic murderer with a reputation that strikes fear in to the hearts of people throughout New York. Peter Utterson, Dr Jekyll’s lawyer and friend, investigates the mystery of who Mr Hyde is and why he is the sole beneficiary of Jekyll’s will. The devastating answer is that Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde are the same person and the urgent problem is how to kill the beast without destroying the man.”

So what do you guys think? Write this one off right now or actually give it a chance? Hard to right off anything Whitaker is involved with, especially when it’s a genre flick. We’re sure to be hearing a lot more on JEKYLL & HYDE so keep it here for updates!
