A couple days ago Eric told you all about a tween slasher flick heading our way courtesy of MTV called MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16. Wow that’s a mouthful. Not very catchy… but I don’t have much hope for this one anyway.
Today The Hollywood Reporter passes along a bit more info on the flick. Most importantly we’ve got a synopsis! So this teenagers-get-dead tween slasher follows a privileged teen’s birthday bash at a roller rink that’s interrupted by a serial killer. At least they’re not aiming too high with this one. Wait a minute… is there a glimmer of hope?
MTV Senior VP of Production Chris Linn claims the already finished film is ‘pretty graphic’ and apparently there will be an ‘uncut, download-to-own’ version released to coincide with the film’s television debut. Alright… so we check this one out on MTV… pretty watered down I’d assume… and then decide whether to take the time to download an ‘uncut’ version to our computers that may or may not be ‘pretty graphic.’ Riiiight. Did I mention it’s coming from the guys behind ‘Paris Hilton’s (below) MY NEW BFF?’ Ouch.
That’s all we’ve got for MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16…. and needless to say things aren’t looking too promising but maybe I’ll hold out a little hope. We’ll pass along any other updates once they come our way!
