Excl: Dark Woods poster!

We have been touting the forthcoming thriller DARK WOODS for quite a while. I’ve definitely been a big supporter of the flick, mainly because it is boasting one of the newest extreme talents in our genre (as well as, I suppose, the film industry in general), Tracy Coogan. All I’ll say is, if you haven’t looked into this women’s repertoire as of yet, start. That way, you can say that you were aware of her talents well before she hit it big.

Today, you can also be aware of something else early… an exclusive glance at the brand new official poster for the flick! It’s subtle, yet once you look really closely, interestingly dark. The plot is kind of the same way. What I mean is, nothing too in depth is given, but there is a definite sense of looming dread. If you’d like my words to possibly make more sense, then check out said plot:

The story follows a couple who moves to a secluded cabin in the woods to cope with a terminal illness of the wife (played by Coogan). As her condition drags her deeper into dementia and darkness, the husband’s friendship with a local teenage girl takes a dangerous and obsessive turn.

The film directed by Mike Escobedo from a script by John Muscarnero (who also plays a role). In addition to Coogan (below), it stars James Russo, Mark Shady, Mary Kate Wiles, Yvonne Huff, and Rob Simpson. WOODS should be releasing on DVD some time soon.
