Just yesterday we found out that Jack Huston was the newest name to join David Slade’s ECLIPSE, the third installment of THE TWILIGHT SAGA. Well it’s only 24 hours later and we’ve already got another ECLIPSE casting announcement courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter’s Risky Biz Blog.
Catalina Sandino Moreno is the newest name to join ‘The Saga.’ You may not recognize Moreno (above) but she was actually nominated for an Academy Award back in 2005 for MARIA FULL OF GRACE. She’s also starred in Steven Soderbergh’s CHE and the upcoming FRAIL, so needless to say Moreno isn’t exactly some random actress. It seems Summit is really building the cast up for ECLIPSE. What could that mean? TWILIGHT going legit?
Moreno will play ‘Maria,’ a petite brunette with a soft voice who tries to create a newborn army of vampires, recruiting the Confederate soldier Jasper to her cause. Newborns? Are we talking baby vampires? That actually sounds pretty cool… She joins Huston, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene (below), Xavier Samuel, and Bryce Dallas Howard in ECLIPSE, which starts shooting next week in Vancouver so be prepared for more TWILIGHT SAGA updates as we hear them.
One good thing about a TWILIGHT story means a picture of Ashley Greene
