Any of you guys ever see 1972’s THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK? I sure haven’t. Actually, I can’t say for sure if I’ve ever even heard of it until recently when talks of a remake began floating up to the surface.
Well, regardless of my unawareness, the remake is indeed moving forward full steam ahead. In fact, the flick already has a cast! Check out the recently announced members: Damon Lipari (WRONG SIDE OF TOWN) as Dave, Jennifer Sipes (Oliver Stone’s W), Melissa Carnell, Samuel Haun, Carlos Tovar, Jennifer Minar, and Julin (SWEATSHOP, below) as Kay.
CREEK, the remake, is being directed by Brian T. Jaynes, and principal photography is set to begin next month in Texas. The plot for the original went a little something like this:
A 1970s documentary-style drama questions the existence of a hairy 7ft tall Sasquatch-type monster that lives in a swap outside of Fouke, Arkansas. According to the locals the monster walks on two feet, has a characteristic smelly odor and kills chicken.
