I was looking around The Hollywood Reporter today and came across a psychological thriller that caught my eye called UNREQUITED. The indie flick is a psychological thriller from director Jason Epperson.
The Hollywood Reporter just passed along word that hottie Sarah Habel (below) just signed on to star in UNREQUITED. Unfotunately for her she’ll be the target of this twisted love roller coaster! UNREQUITED tells the story of Ben Jacobs, a troubled young man who, on his 18th birthday, has to leave the group home for “troubled teens” where he has been living for the past several months and move back in with his alcoholic mother. Upon his return, Ben soon discovers that his girlfriend, Jessica Morgan, has moved on with her life and is now dating an older college guy. Desperate for love and unable to cope with losing Jessica, Ben’s troubled past catches up with him as he kidnaps her in an attempt to regain her affection. Spiraling out of control and on a very dangerous path, Ben must ultimately decide whether to let her go, or hold on to the one person he loves, even if it means destroying them both in the process.
Habel will be playing the role of Jessica while Michael Welch (aka Mike Newton of TWILIGHT) will be stepping in for the role of Ben. The cast also includes David Keith, Clare Carey, Justin Baldoni, Gregory Alan Williams, Brett Rice, Bruce McKinnon, Amy Hess and Samuel Lockridge with a script from Jeff Day and Tom Lockridge. I’m getting a beautifully twisted feeling with UNREQUITED and that’s always a good thing. It’s already got a release date of June 8, 2010 pegged. We’ll keep an eye on this one and bring you any udpates!
