We recently heard from Matt Reeves regarding his LET THE RIGHT ONE IN remake LET ME IN and genre fans could care less what the man has to say.
Regardless of Reeves’ reassurance his update was met with a negative response all around. Well it looks like Reeves may be on the right track considering today’s potential casting news! The Herald Sun reports that Kodi Smit-McPhee (right) is up for a role in LET ME IN and things are looking good. Alright… well first who is Kodi Smit-McPhee? He’s that kid with Viggo Mortensen in THE ROAD. Oh alright. Well what role is he up for? One can only assume he’s vying for the role of Oskar. Dare I say I’d be pretty ok with that? Actually no… I’m not ok with this remake at all.
But I suppose if we have to deal with it then the fact that a star of a flick earning some really early Oscar-buzz can only be a good thing, right? Mind you folks Smit-McPhee only told The Sun he’s vying for a role and that things are looking good… nothing is a done deal yet! But when that happens we’ll be sure to let you know!
