A new suspenseful indie was called to my attention today. It isn’t so much a hardcore horror tale as it is a dark and twisted survival opus. The title is TRAP and the plot seems pretty interesting enough. Also, the trailer has a quiet force to it. At just under a minute long, it really is a quick view, but a memorable one. Here’s the simple plot description: It follows a couple of off kilter kidnappers whose plan goes bad when one of them falls in love with their teen aged victim.
The teaser trailer adds nicely to the above synopsis. TRAP was written and directed by Jason Horton (EDGES OF DARKNESS), and just wrapped production last week. There hasn’t been an official cast announcement yet, but I have a feeling we’ll be getting one soon. Stay tuned for more info as it arises.
