D. Harris’s Cyrus trailer

You guys know about the CYRUS horror indie? My man, Eric, reported on it way back in February. It’s got horror royalty in it: Ms. Danielle Harris and Mr. Lance Henrickson. And, damn it, this thing looks pretty f*cking sweet! How would I know? Well, I was just privy to the over 5 minute trailer for the flick and really believe that you ought to check it out too! It’s like part TEXAS CHAINSAW and part BEHIND THE MASK! And, of course, I’ve got the trailer directly below for you to click on.

First, have a look at CYRUS’s tale: Inspired by a true story, a small independent news crew, made up of reporter Maria Consolo and her camera man Tom, investigates a series of unexplained disappearances in a small Midwestern county. The story leads them to the isolated town of Arkham Heights, where they find themselves interviewing Emmett who possesses an all too intimate knowledge of the details of “The County Line Cannibal” – Cyrus. As Emmett inter-weaves the macabre life tale of the most prolific serial killer in the history of the United States with the story of Cyrus’ last three victims, Maria comes closer and closer to the greatest story of her life – or what’s left of it.

I’m telling you, friends, the trailer is even more bad ass than that synopsis. Mark Vadik wrote and directed CYRUS. Even the cast beyond Harris and Henrickson rules: Brian Krause, Doug Jones, Kim Rhodes, Rae Dawn Chong, and Tiffany Shepis! I really hope we get some sort of a release date in the not too distant future. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled.
