It’s been over a year since we last dropped some info on the English-language remake of the Japanese DON’T LOOK UP. Well, today, I’ve finally got some promo poster-work for you to lay your eyes on. Please, do look up to check it out. Once again, the obligatory J-horror “eyeball” is present with a bloody, pointy, object below. It ain’t exactly anything special, but the understated look here still gives off a nice genre-riffic impression. It did catch my interest, regardless. What say you, my peeps? Set in an abandoned film studio from another era, the film charts the unraveling sanity of a director and his crew when spirits from that bygone era invade the film stock of the contemporary production and, in a few stark frames, open a horrifying window on a terrible curse from the past.
I guess that too may sound a tad familiar to other genre fare, but that still doesn’t mean this one won’t be worth looking UP. It is being directed by Fruit Chan from a script by Brian Cox and Hiroshi Takahashi. It stars Henry Thomas, Kevin Corrigan, Lothaire Bluteau, Carmen Chaplin, Elena Satine (below), and Reshad Strik. There’s still no word on what’s up with the release.
