See free movies!

When 10 bucks a pop can make it difficult to see as many movies in the theater as you’d like, it’s nice to see that some studios are taking notes and trying to make it easier for you to see their stuff… by making it available for free!

We got a heads up about a program called Credit Crunch Cinema, and I think you’ll agree that it sounds flippin’ awesome! Courtesy of Vue Cinemas and Metrodome Distribution, select Vue theaters will be showing free screenings for ONE EYED MONSTER, MANHUNT, and DEAD GIRL, starting tonight!

So what’s the catch? There isn’t a catch, really… except for a few minor details. For one, you have to be 18 to attend the screenings (no minors allowed, yo!), and two, this deal is only good at the following Vue theaters: Vue West End, Vue Cambridge, Vue Edinburgh Omni, Vue Manchester Lowry, and Vue Bristol Cribbs Causeway.

If you’re like me, you’re scratching your head at those locations. Ah, so there IS a catch… Vue Cinemas are only located in the UK, specifically, in the London area. So if you’re in and around London, you just scored an awesome free time at the movies. If you’re the rest of us… well, you’re pretty much f*cked.

The first screening starts tonight for ONE EYED MONSTER, the second screening is on Friday, May 22, for MANHUNT, and the third screening is on Friday, June 5, for DEAD GIRL, with more screenings promised to be on the way.

If you’re dying to know what other films are coming, or just more information regarding the Credit Crunch Cinema program, you can EMAIL METRODOME directly and they’d be happy to answer all your questions for them.

Free horror movies? I’m so there… that is, if I lived in London. But a man can dream, can’t he!
