Oh, my dear lord, are you kids ready for some NUN OF THAT action? I’m gonna guess your answer is “yes” because how could you possibly say “no” to Grindhouse-style nunsploitation? That’s right, my children, nunsploitation! I’m talking ass-kicking “lady penguins” with big guns and (I know this is blasphemous, but… ) hot bods! The flick’s co-writer/director, Richard Griffin, said it best: “it contains nun nudity, nun profanity and, most of all, nun violence!”
It also has released some exclusive pics to Fango, two of which we’re showcasing up top and below. That’s our star bad-ass nun, Sister Kelly Wrath (played by Sarah Nicklin), up top wearing her habit as well as one pissed-off glare. Down below we have a prime example of the kind of Grindhouse gore we’ll be getting with this NUN. Yikes, remind me not to have pizza tonight.
Alright, enough f*cking around, here is the Holy shocker of a plot: Sister Kelly Wrath has got a habit… of flying off the handle. After being gunned down in an alley, she ascends to heaven to receive training from some of the great figures of religious mythology. She is then set back to Earth to join the other members of the Order of the Black Habit, a group of supernatural vigilante nuns, as they fight evil and seek revenge against the mob.
Well, if that don’t beat all. And speaking of beatings, I do believe I’m looking forward to this nun-basher. In addition to Nicklin, the rest of the cast includes Brandon Luis Aponte, Alexandra Cipolla, Michael Reed, Rich Tretheway, Shanette Wilson and Ruth Sullivan, with special appearances by Debbie Rochon and Lloyd Kaufman.
