Cassidy to Elm Street

Last week we found out the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake had found it’s ‘Nancy’ in Rooney Mara. We already knew she was set to join future body bags Kyle Gallner and Thomas Dekker with Jackie Earle Haley strapping on the glove. Well today we’ve got word on another female cast in the film!

ShockTillYouDrop scored the news that Katie Cassidy has signed on to join the rest of the gang in A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. Cassidy will play ‘Kris.’ Well I was actually dying to know who Cassidy would be playing so it’s good we know that. Right. In all seriousness though this casting is fine by me!

As you can see Cassidy is smoking hot and she’s got a fairly decent list of genre credits including TAKEN, BLACK X-MAS, TV Show SUPERNATURAL and the new series HARPER’S ISLAND. A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET is set to start filming in Chicago next month and already has a release date of April 16, 2010.
