Imagine getting a new Manhattan apartment where you’ve got to deal with ghosts, crazy neighbors, and a door to another world? Oh… all Manhattan apartments are like that? Makes sense.

Seriously though. Variety are dropping word today that Dimension Films just snagged the rights to the book AUDREY’S DOOR. The novel comes from Sarah Langan and the funny thing is it’s not even published yet! Guess this one must have something going for it if Dimension already scooped it up.

According to Variety the novel deals with a young architect who, after breaking off her engagement, finds the perfect Manhattan apartment. She begins to lose her grip on reality and finds herself battling the building’s ghosts as well as the cultish tenants, forcing her to build a door that will connect to a nightmarish netherworld.

Nice. That sounds all kinds of twisted. Only thing I’m iffy on is the whole ‘cultish tenants’ thing seeing how I’m not usually a fan of ‘cult’ movies. We’ll see which way that one goes. The film has no staff attached to it yet but keep it here for updates as we hear more. Meanwhile you can PRE-ORDER THE BOOK NOW, which is set to hit shelves September 29th.

Her name is Aubrey… which is close to Audrey. I want to know more about her door!
