Dreyfuss in Piranha 3D?

Here’s an interesting scoop that may (or may not) have merit, or may (or may not) be utter and complete bullshit. I’d like to think that it’s true, if only because it’s not that ridiculous… then again, to some people, maybe it is.

Enough with the foreplay. According to Nuke the Fridge, Richard Dreyfuss has signed on to star in a cameo role in Alexandre Aja’s upcoming T&A horrorfest PIRANHA 3D! Say what? That’s right, Dreyfuss will appear in the film for a short while, as a homage to his role in the original JAWS, the basis for the original PIRANHA which spoofed the giant shark movie.

In their own words, Richard Dreyfuss will reportedly appear in a cameo that will pay homage to “Jaws.” His character will even be drinking Amity brand beer (the setting of “Jaws”).

Nice. The dude’s barely in it and he’s gonna be drinking the whole time. Now THAT’s my kind of cameo! If you want to check out the full scoop, including what may potentially be a SPOILER as to Dreyfuss’s character, click HERE, and stick around as this news is either confirmed or debunked… just take it with a grain of salt until things are official, yo!

Dreyfuss might not, but Elisabeth Shue will be in PIRANHA 3D!
