For a while there, we were following Peter Jackson’s THE LOVELY BONES like a hawk, as every other day there was an update regarding new casting or whatnot. But that was some time ago (last summer), and it has been quiet around the LOVELY BONES talk… unitl now!
Empire Magazine scored the first image from Jackson’s LOVELY BONES, and boy does it kick ass! If you recall, THE LOVELY BONES goes a little something like this: Based on the best selling book by Alice Sebold, The Lovely Bones is the story of a 14-year-old girl from suburban Pennsylvania who is murdered by her neighbor. She tells the story from Heaven, showing the lives of the people around her and how they have changed all while attempting to get someone to find her lost body.
The new image above is of said 14 year old girl (played by Saoirse Ronan) looking down from heaven–at least Jackson’s version of heaven. Again… kick ass! If you click HERE you’ll really be able to drink the full image of heaven in.
Co-starring Marky Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, and Susan Sarandon, Jackson’s THE LOVELY BONES is scheduled to hit theaters December 11th. In the meantime, check out the full version of the new image over HERE, and stick around for more udpates as we hear ’em!
