Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to see good ol Frankenstein as a private investigator? What about Dracula as a crime kingpin? Or that pesky Invisible Man as a secret operative? I know these are the types of things you ponder as you lay awake at night. Well ponder no more!

The Hollywood Reporter have word today that Death Ray Films and company are looking at bringing I, FRANKENSTEIN to the big screen! I, FRANKENSTEIN of course is an upcoming comic that deals with classic monster characters, including Frankenstein’s Monster, the Invisible Man, Dracula and the Hunchback of Notre Dame, in a contemporary film noir setting. As stated Frankenstein signs up as a private investigator while Dracula tackles the world of organized crime and Invisible Man goes all secret agent.

You may recognize a few of the other names helping out with this project. TMNT’s Kevin Grevioux is penning the script and serving as producer. Fitting considering he penned the upcoming comic. Patrick Tatopoulos is set to direct. Death Ray also have WAR MONKEYS and an adaptation of EL ZOMBO on the way, though I think it’s safe to say I’m most looking forward to I, FRANKENSTEIN. Above you can glimpse some concept art for the comic. I can’t wait to hear more about this one! Be sure to keep it here for updates as we hear them!
