Sin City 2 still with TWC?

Just yesterday Ammon gave the good word that SIN CITY 2 was about to be looking for a new home. Word on the street was that The Weinstein Company had lost the rights to the sequel. Well it seems this came as a big surprise to… The Weinstein Company?!

That’s right. It’s bullshit people. Entertainment Weekly got ahold of Bert Fields, who just happens to be the lawyer for The Weinstein Company. Here’s what Fields had to share:

“TWC’s rights to produce sequels to Sin City remain intact as they always have been. Any suggestion to the contrary is complete hogwash.”

And a source close to director Robert Rodriguez adds: “It’s not true. That’s a rumor that’s been going around for a while. It’s really just a matter of timing, and he hopes to do it with them in the near future.”

Well alright then. Another completely useless ripple in the SIN CITY 2 production. When will we be seeing this bad boy? Who the hell knows, but we’ll be keeping you updated any any news as we hear it!
