More 28 Days coming?

I debated whether I should have hit up the Emerald City Comic Con here in Seattle over this past weekend, but decided against it as the biggest movie-related guest was the dude who played Darth Maul in THE PHANTOM MENACE. Yeah. Not much attraction there.

But now I’m wishing I was there, as it apparently Fox Atomic Comics and BOOM! Studios announced that they are planning more 28 DAYS LATER comics and graphic novels!

A few years back they released 28 DAYS LATER: THE AFTERMATH, which bridged the gap between 28 DAYS LATER and 28 WEEKS LATER. Expect more of the same from the new entries in the comic series.

The comics / graphic novels will also bridge the gap between the two films, focusing on the 28 DAYS continuity and on the 28 DAYS character Selena, answering what happened to her after DAYS, including what happened after she swung that machete at the end of the movie. Nice. Should be fun to catch up with old characters and see the horrors involved with the rage zombies we know so well.

Apparently the new series of comics will eventually be combined into one giant graphic novel anthology, which should look pretty dope on your bookshelf. Look for the Fox Atomic Comics and BOOM! Studios take on 28 DAYS LATER in comic book stores this July.
