Variety announced this morning that Simon Hunter, director of the Sci-Fi flick THE MUTANT CHRONICLES, has signed on to director the new horror thriller CURVE, through Benderspink and Solipsist Films.

The script, written by Kimberly Johnson, originally had Eva Mendes attached to star, though it’s unclear as to whether Mendes is still on board this beast or not. Let’s hope she is–that woman’s got a great ass!

Anyway, CURVE goes a little something like this: a woman offers a ride to a good Samaritan after he helps her fix her car. When the man tries to attack her, she attempts an emergency maneuver that lands her trapped in her car in a ravine, with the man waiting for her to weaken.

Hell yeah. Car crashes, Psychopaths. Eva Mendes. What more could you possibly want in a movie? The whole thing happens during a rainstorm, and Mendes escapes with only a white t-shirt and nothing else? Yeah… that’d be pretty sweet too.

The plan is so start production in about 6 months after some slight revisions to the original script. Chick trapped in car, director of THE MUTANT CHRONICLES, and did I mention Eva Mendes? Hot damn this sounds fun…
