It seems that HALLOWEEN film lore may be on its way to receiving a brand new memorable character in the ghostly shape of Uncle Seymour Coffins. This skeleton-faced savant (seen posing up top & below) looks positively poised to acquire the airwaves of Haddonfield. The dude is hosting H2’s 4th Annual Phantom Jam which looks to be one huge, frightening event. Plus, he even has his own TV show on Haddonfield’s Channel 18. Check this:
A couple of ads have just been released, revealing the spooky “Creature Double Feature” Uncle Coffins’ show will be broadcasting this year on Halloween! If you’ll cast your eyes above, you’ll learn that Mr. Coffins must be a Rob Zombie fan as he’ll be broadcasting the “Network Debut” of the rocker’s HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES. Nice touch! Also, down below, we have the ad for the other half of this two-headed feature, DRACULA’S DAUGHTER. I’m not exactly sure if there is any particular correlation between these two flicks, but it’s still pretty damn cool.
I just love how Zombie’s vision of HALLOWEEN doesn’t have a specific reference to the time period it takes place in. It really adds a nice old school, vintage-y feel to the proceedings and Uncle Coffins is just another shining example. Is it August 28th yet?
