Another day, another HALLOWEEN 2 (H2) update. Rob Zombie had a chance to talk with MTV about the upcoming film, which is currently shooting in Georgia as we speak, and he had some interesting things to say about the new vision he has for H2, including the film’s final score.
We’re going to do something completely different. We haven’t gotten to that point yet so we could change our minds, but we want to do something totally different. The movie is very raw and very rough looking so the score has to [reflect that].
That’s right folks, the plan is to ditch the original John Carpenter score that may be the most recognizable aspect of the franchise–even more than Michael Myers himself. I’m all about taking the bull by the horns and making something your own, but really? Let’s face it, Zombie is continuing a franchise that’s almost 30 years old–he’s not reinventing the wheel. Not really, anyway.
