Since there’s no point in waiting for another JURASSIC PARK (let the series die already), it’s time to look forward to another dinosaur epic featuring people becoming dino food. The movie that’s gonna take us there? The upcoming remake of THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT!
Most of us around here didn’t even realize there was a remake of TIME FORGOT coming out, but according to MovieHole, the flick kicks into production next week and is set to be directed by C. Thomas Howell (from THE HITCHER), who will also be starring in the film!
Yes, Howell is in the director’s seat. Sorta blows your mind, doesn’t it? Christopher Showerman and Timothy Bottoms are also set to star. The film is said to tread along the lines of the original, which went a little something like this: a German U-boat sinks a British ship and takes the survivors on board. After it takes a wrong turn, the submarine takes them to the unknown land of Caprona, where they find dinosaurs and Neanderthal.
Nice. Oh, and did I mention this sucker is going straight to DVD? Because it is. Damn. Oh well. It still sounds like it will be entertaining, and it’s nice to see Howell taking his career to the next level. Maybe he’s a stellar director? It’s about time we find out.
