And now for some news about internet celebrities… The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that LonleyGirl (aka Jessica Rose) has been cast in an online horror series from the WB.com and 60Frames Entertainment. At least her fame is staying on the internet!
Actually, what I meant was ‘fame’ as I wouldn’t really consider her famous, but hey–you know her name and so do I, so maybe she is. The 18 episode horror series is called BLOOD CELL, and it goes a little something like this: a young woman must race against the clock to stop a sadistic madman after receiving a disturbing late-night phone call from a friend in danger.
Nice. I guess. Who knows, it could have the gritty internet vibe that will have you guessing ‘is it real or is it not?’ until you realize it’s LonelyGirl, the internet celebrity, of course it’s not real… but maybe it’ll be entertaining.
Written and directed Eduardo Rodriguez, there is no release date for the web series… yet. But there will be. Oh yes, there will be. Just you wait.
