I’ve seen some really crappy posters in my day, with the posters for UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS still some of the worse in recent memory. Until now. Because the final French poster for HUMAINS is about as crappy as you can get!
But it’s crappy for other reasons than most. The quality isn’t crappy, as the landscape shot is very scenic. It’s crappy because it’s just plane boring and doesn’t tell you anything about what it is or what it’s about. In fact, this thing sucks ass!
Would you get that this is a horror flick? About being chased down by cannibalistic creatures? No. You wouldn’t. Right now, it’s a story about hiking in the woods. Seriously… what the hell?
Officially, HUMAINS goes like this: A team of several researchers travel to the Swiss Alps to investigate a scientific discovery on human evolution. The trip, however, turns into a deadly fight for survival when the team crash into a gully and find themselves falling prey to someone…or something.
The poster is like the first sentance of that synopsis, as if whoever created this thing read the first sentence, had an idea, and went with it without reading the hole thing. Bugh.
