On a slow news day, any kind of casting news is news-worthy casting news, and today is no exception. STYD scored some information suggesting that actor Joe Reegan has signed on to star in the upcoming THE CRAZIES remake. Now’s how’s that for some exciting casting news?
Hot off the premiere of THE CRAZIES teaser poster (which you can check out by heading THIS WAY), the casting of Reegan may have some people scratching their heads. Like me, for example. Just who the flock is Joe Reegan?
Glad you asked. Reegan appeared in JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 as one of the lame high school kids, and most recently he appeared in VACANCY 2: THE FIRST CUT. He’s also been in a crapload of CSI and COLD CASE episodes, so go figure.
THE CRAZIES already stars Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell (below), and is directed by Breck Eisner. Stick around for everything and all-things CRAZIES as it breaks, and watch for THE CRAZIES in theaters everywhere September 25, 2009.
