The boys over at STYD scored a brand spankin’ new poster for the upcoming THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake, a poster that actually focuses on…. the house in question, without relying on pretty faces screaming in terror. Good move!
The title is rockin’ and in-your-face, and the house is omniscient and lurking in the distance. My only problem with the poster is that, without looking at the tagline and not knowing anything about the original, people might think it’s a haunted house movie. The word HOUSE is in blood red, the house is the focus of the poster… other than that, this thing is dope!
That said, the tagline reads If bad people hurt someone you love, how far would you go to hurt them back? Revenge never sounded so sweet, but ‘bad people?’ Really? Maybe it’s the editor in me, but I’d take the ‘bad’ out altogether, simply cause if good people hurt someone you loved, you’d probably hurt them back too.
Nit-picking aside, the poster work’s in its simplicity and that works for me. To check out the full poster (and in a higher resolution) click HERE, and get ready for THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT in theaters everywhere Friday, March 13th.
