Spongebob Pal in H2?

Where’s the only place that the casting of the voice of Spongebob Squarepants’ starfish friend is news? Why Rob Zombie’s MySpace of course! The guy can post that he’s casting my next door neighbor and it’ll pass as news. Nothing wrong with that and there’s no need to change it today!

That’s right, Mr. Zombie has posted yet another blog update on his MySpace concerning the eager casting of H2. Here’s Zombie’s post:

Bill Fagerbakke has joined the cast of H2 as Sheriff Brackett’s right hand man DEPUTY WEBB.

Fagerbakke (above) is best known for being the voice behind the SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS character Patrick Star. It’ll be interesting to see that voice as some potentially badass deputy in a HALLOWEEN movie. This comes hot off the heels of yesterday’s news that Howard Hesseman had joined the cast. Fagerbakke joins Hesseman, Matt Bush, Dayton Callie, Richard Brake, Tyler Mane, Scout Taylor Compton (below), Chris Hardwicke, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Ezra Buzzington, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Daniel Roebuck, and Danielle Harris. Daeg Faerch and Sheri Moon Zombie are both rumored to be along for the ride. Though no word yet if our newest Dr. Sam Loomis: Malcolm McDowell will be joining the party.

HALLOWEEN 2 should start shooting any time now in Georgia looking at an August 28th release. Yes, of this year! And I thought Quentin Tarantino’s INGLORIOUS BASTERDS was pushing it… Keep it here for even more inevitable H2 casting news as we hear it!
