I just came across a flick that is heading into pre-production whose title and initial artwork were too crazy to pass up. It’s called BABY ZOMBIES and you can check out its crazy artwork by clicking here. I dare you to stare at that image and not be like “Now that is just plain f*cked up!” However, that should come as no surprise, considering the pedigree of the two gents that conceived this BABY.
It was co-written by Chris Walas, who created the Oscar-winning special effects for THE FLY and GREMLINS, and even directed THE FLY II. The other co-writer is Ethan Wiley, who wrote 1986’s HOUSE, and wrote and directed HOUSE II. So these two dudes have some common gory ground to begin with.
Wiley will also be directing BABY ZOMBIES with Walas designing the SFX for Wiseacre Films. There is no official synopsis yet, but I bet you can probably infer what the basic gist is. Hopefully we’ll learn some more once production begins. I’ll be keeping an eye out.
