An update has come through with regards to BLOOD ON THE HIGHWAY, a sweet looking vampire flick we first told you about back in November (check that out HERE). The film has been kicking ass at film festivals across the country, from Shockerfest to AFI Dallas to the Hollywood Film Festival, and it looks like all that effort is going to pay off for the independent feature…. because now it’s headed to the European Film Market!
BLOOD ON THE HIGHWYA is to be represented by DC Medias with hopes to finding wide-spread distribution. Cool beans! But for many of you, you might be asking yourself, just what the hell is BLOOD ON THE HIGHWAY? Well let me tell you… it stars Nicholas Brendon and Tom Towles, and goes a little something like this…
After a gastrointestinal mishap with their map, three twenty-somethings on a road-trip accidentally wander into Fate, Texas, only to find the town populated by bloodthirsty, dimwitted vampires. A brutal run-in with two carnivorous convenience store clerks leads the three to take refuge with the town’s only surviving humans and prepare for battle with an army of the undead.
Now doesn’t that sound like fun? The flick also stars Laura Stone and Chris Gardener, and the buzz around this flick is thick, meaning they’ll likely be successful at the EFM, and we’ll be one step closer to checking this sucker out!
EFM will be taking place at the Berlin Film Festival from February 5th though the 15th, so stick around shortly thereafter and we’ll let you know the results! In the meantime, check out BOOD ON THE HIGHWAYS’ OFFICIAL WEBSITE for all sorts of goodies to hold you over.
