By now you should have your copies of the three upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH Deluxe Edition DVDs reserved, pre-ordered, or at least a plan to pick ’em up at Best Buy on February 3rd. I’m not the only one stoked on the new editions, but I’ve been wondering what you’ve been wondering–what about the other films in the series? Will they get a revamp, too? According to STYD, the answer is… YES!
Apparently there are Deluxe Editions in the works for THE FINAL CHAPTER, the Jason-less A NEW BEGINNING, and the totally awesome JASON LIVES. Now how flippin’ cool is that???
Of course there are no details to speak of at this point, other than there being some commentaries by fans of the series (including director’s Adam Green and Joe Lynch). That said, the possibilities for these new Deluxe Editions are endless! Unrated cuts? Oh please let there be at least one Unrated cut in the bunch… that would simply make my day. No, scratch that, my year!
