I think it’s safe to say that Chan Park-Wook is a pretty talented fellow. Disagree if you must, but the man can direct. So it’s with that mindset that I come bearing news on his upcoming film THIRST.

Now we’ve been keeping you updated on THIRST for months now, with casting news, pics, and the like. Today’s not a huge update for the film, but something worth taking note of on this extremely slow news day. I hope you have time to sign up on a message board.

Today it seems a batch of stills from Park-Wook’s vampire flick have made their way onto the internet. They popped up over at the KFC Cinema message boards. So if your down for checking these out, just head right over here to sign up and see them. You can get a look at one above, though it’s nothing too exciting.

Here’s a nice full synopsis for you all: Sang-hyun, a small town beloved and admired priest who serves devotedly at a hospital, volunteers for the new infectious disease, F.I.V.’s, vaccine development experiment and goes to Africa. The experiment fails and Sang-hyun gets infected by F.I.V. but he ends up being miraculously cured and returns home. News of Sang-hyun’s cure from F.I.V. spreads and people start believing he has the gift of healing and flock to receive his blessing. From those who come to him, Sang-hyun meets a childhood friend named Kang-woo and his wife Tae-ju. Sang-hyun is immediately drawn to Tae-ju. One day, Sang-hyun coughs up blood, dies, and comes back to life the next day as a vampire. Tae-ju is strangely drawn to Sang-hyun, turned vampire, and they have a secret love affair. Sang-hyun asks Tae-ju to run away with him but she turns him down. Instead, they plot to murder Kang-woo…

THIRST is really starting to take shape and looks like it might turn out to be better than anyone thought. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any more THIRST updates, so keep it here.
